Prompt Engineering for AI: Advanced

Level 0, topic 6 (part 2 of 2) of the BitByte AI path, for learners who finished the beginner course and can write basic Python. Writing a prompt that works once is easy. Knowing that it still works after a change, on other inputs and in another language is engineering. This course teaches that discipline.

You get a written tutorial in English and Bangla with Python examples that run offline against small toy providers, hand-picked videos, and three exams. No API key or paid service is needed; provider-specific details are kept in dated notes, so the course stays useful when products change.

• Explain instruction roles and priority, and adapt a prompt to differences between providers without relying on undocumented behaviour
• Design reasoning tasks and prompt chains with fixed schemas, stopping rules and fallbacks
• Request structured JSON, then validate it in Python against a schema and business rules, with bounded retries
• Build versioned prompt templates with validated variables and safe boundaries
• Plan multimodal and long-document tests, and read sampling, reasoning and caching settings and usage data carefully
• Run Python prompt experiments with test cases, JSONL logs, mock mode and metrics such as accuracy, precision and recall
• Build evaluation datasets with held-out sets and baselines, and test robustness across languages and adversarial inputs
• Recognise prompt injection and privacy risks, know what prompting cannot protect, and hand a prompt over to a team with tests and a change log
